Our next Renew meeting features something a bit different. Hear about an ordinary Sydney family’s story of how to swim against our ‘shop and toss’ culture, and the many and sometimes unexpected benefits of reducing single use plastics.
Anywhere you go on the planet today, plastic will be close by, even in Antarctica and at the North Pole. Plastics can serve many functions, but take centuries to break down, use precious energy and resources and can cause much harm. About a third of the plastic ever made has leaked into our natural environment. What can we do?
When: Monday 12 August 2019, 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start (from 6.00pm there is networking and refreshments with the talk starting at 6.30pm and finishing at 7.30pm).
Where: EnergyLab, 4-12 Buckland St, Chippendale NSW 2008 (click here and here for maps).
RSVP: This event is open to Renew members and the general public but online registration is essential. Click ‘’Register” from the following link or contact us directly to reserve a place.
Cost: A $5 donation would be appreciated to assist with venue costs.
